Steps For Shelter

We’re Walking Again!  And this time with even greater hope! There are moments in the life of a mission when you feel the momentum of God moving quietly but powerfully beneath your feet. This season feels exactly like that for us at The Phileo House.
With deep gratitude, we are preparing for our Second Annual Walkathon Step Up for Shelter. As we do, our hearts are full when we think about each person who has been walking with us already: those opening our newsletter, following our social media, praying faithfully, giving sacrificially, and stepping forward to volunteer. Every prayer, every share, every act of generosity reminds us of the power of God through a community that believes women and their children deserve a safe place to begin again. Kingdom warriors' steps impacting the world!
This year’s walk feels especially meaningful because we are closer to the down payment for the land that will one day become the home of The Phileo House. The vision is no longer distant—it is taking shape step by step. We are also joyfully inviting corporate sponsors, churches, and small businesses to sponsor our steps. Their partnership not only helps advance this capital campaign but also increases visibility for a mission centered on sheltering, guiding, and empowering women through Christ.

Scripture reminds us that “we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)

​And that is exactly what we are doing: walking in the good works He has prepared for us. You can, too.
When we imagine the future, women now unsheltered arriving with their children to a place of safety, restoration, and deeper intimacy with God, our hearts fill with both tenderness and resolve. The Phileo House exists for that moment. For that home. For that restoration story yet to unfold.
